Both the Red Line and Blue Line will have detours this weekend due to rail maintenance.
Port Authority will work on replacement of a bridge along the Library line this weekend, detouring Blue Line service from 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28 until end of service on Sunday, Sept. 30. This work involves a small bridge that carries the light rail line over a stream just south of the Monroe stop.
During the work, Blue Line-Library service will terminate at Lytle, where riders may transfer to shuttle buses operating between Lytle and Library. Riders should allow for extra time when traveling.
Please see below for a map of the detour.

A second Blue Line weekend detour to continue bridge work will take place Oct.12-15.
For part of the day Saturday, rail grinding work continues on part of the Red Line in Beechview. Inbound service will be impacted from approximately 5 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Inbound Red Line service will detour via the Overbrook line (along the Blue Line’s routing) between Overbrook Junction/Willow and South Hills Junction. During this time, a local light rail shuttle will operate inbound from Overbrook Junction to Potomac, and bus shuttles will operate inbound to stops from Potomac to Station Square. Outbound Red Line service will remain on regular route.
