Detours to local auto traffic will be in place around-the-clock and signs will be posted to guide traffic. Local bus routes will also be detoured during this project.
Bus detour notices will be posted at www.portauthority.org under "Detours" once available.
Work will occur on one side of the street at a time and in sections, with detours shifting as the area of impact changes. The work that starts Monday will affect the section of Warrington between Estella and Beltzhoover avenues. Then in approximately mid-June, work will shift to the area between Beltzhoover and Arlington avenues.
Rehab work on Warrington Avenue began in the fall when Port Authority contractors improved the stretch of road between Haberman and Estella avenues. Warrington Avenue is partially owned by Port Authority as it contains embedded light rail tracks formerly used by the defunct Allentown line.
