Port Authority passes will now be sold on ConnectCard at nearly 50 Giant Eagle locations throughout Allegheny County and surrounding areas. Riders who already have ConnectCards may also visit these locations to reload their cards.
Weekly passes for the week of March 10-16 go on sale tomorrow; April’s monthly passes go on sale on March 16.
Previously, new ConnectCards could only be obtained at Port Authority’s Downtown Service Center and at two pilot Giant Eagle locations in Shadyside and on the South Side, and loading of new passes was limited to those locations and ConnectCard machines at selected busway and T stations.
At this time new ConnectCards are only being distributed for weekly or monthly pass users. Cash riders and those using trip tickets will be transitioned to stored cash value ConnectCards at a later date.
