  1. What about the Blue Line-Library? It's not listed here, but it does not appear to be running either. Did you lay off all the poor T drivers who get paid $50K a year to press Go & Stop pedals?

  2. There was some out of service on Blue Line-Library this morning (which had been listed here) but it should be in service currently so we removed it from the list.

  3. When is the portauthority.org website going to be back up?

  4. Is the Library outbound at 4:09pm running, or is it missing AGAIN?

  6. Whomp whomp. Did you reduce service on 15% of your servers as well?

  7. Port Authority needs to consider eliminating using transfers for return trips on the same route to help reduce costs. Transfers should only be used to transfer to another route.

A One Zone, One Fare with the elimination of transfers fare structure like the Niagara Frontier Transit Authority implemented in Sept 2010 should be considered.

  11. I find it really funny that the 8 never ever showed this morning and I had to walk along Perry Highway just to get to Ross Park N Ride, If I get hit by a car because your drivers are refusing to show up for work and I CANNOT get to work am I allowed to sue because I got hit by a car and I had to walk to the next closest bus stop, and while it seemed all of the North Hills was standing there, a stretch bus shows up. A bus that YOU CLAIM, you cannot give the Ross Park N Ride Riders. But since you took away every single bus in the north hills, I guess you figure that we have all been good little boys and girls and finally deserve a bigger bus. Thank you for making my Monday morning so enjoyable.

  12. KDKA this morning reported people had to stand on the buses this morning...Why wasn't it news whenever riders had to stand prior to the cutback news????

  13. The 13A has been so full before the cuts that it was passing up stops in the morning, so PAT decided to cut buses.

Today the 13A (now 12O) was almost completely full at the first stop, I was lucky to get on, we flew by tons of people who never got picked up this morning.

So PAT gave up all that revenue of the passengers who never stepped on board, and probably will force them to clog the roads with cars in the future now.

Any chance more buses will be added to McKnight road?

  14. anonymous...you will never know. there is so much going on here that the public doesn't know. just keep blaming it on the current employees. nevermind this has been in the works for years to privatize the port authority. nevermind that the port authority is so mismanaged, nevermind that dan blamed the drink tax on port authority (mainly the drivers), how much does the county give? how much did they give the years before the drink tax went into effect? how long do the current employees have to foot the bill for the legacy costs? it's a shame to say, but so much of us pay for some if not all of our health care benefits. one article i saw is all ready blaming the drivers for todays delays because they are "refusing" to work overtime? they just laid off 180 people!

  15. PAT never should have made these cuts without making sure everyone was trained and ready to go. This is ridiculous. The riders that are getting passed up pay the same amount for their monthly passes, but the service wasn't available to them today. What will their refund look like?

  16. Hey kdka news are the only one the see people waiting at bus stop in the morning

  17. Fire them all. Close down Port Authority. Open up a new NON union outfit. Then it will be efficient. Unions add nothing but problems and costs. Its a shame when bus drivers make more then PHD people.

  18. Nice try on the 7pm update PAT, but what about the two P16 at 5:43p and 6:03p that never arrived and the ~6:20 P1 that passed up the Penn busway stop because it was full. Kind of missed those on the list.

An extra 90 minutes to get home, plus an extra mile walk from a different route is riduculous!

  19. convenient that the 412-442-2000 number was overloaded/fast-busy the few times I tried to call between 6 and 7pm to find out if a bus was going to show up. Then they put on the out-off=office message and closed up shop at 7pm and probably drove home( since there is hardly any bus service at that hour). While I was standing in the cold waiting for the bus. Great customer service!

  20. Geeka, if PAT had to get rid of 180 workers, you dont think that they were going to keep the experienced ones with higher salaries do you? No, they got rid of them and now you are destined to (hopefully) arrive at your destination by some guy who doesnt know the route or how to open the doors. Congrats if you got there and didnt die!
