Starting August 1, transit riders and local citizens are invited to suggest a name for Port Authority’s vehicle-tracking system by visiting http://paac.mindmixer.com.
Participants can share their ideas or weigh in on ideas submitted by others. The conversation will be active through August 31; at that time, Port Authority will review the ideas and consider them.
The GPS-based tracking system is currently available on eight bus routes and additional bus routes will be added throughout the year. Port Authority will begin testing similar technology on its light rail system in 2015.
Riders can view vehicle-tracking information at realtime.portauthority.org.
