More than 70 Port Authority bus routes will see changes effective Sunday,
June 16 due to both regular quarterly schedule adjustments and a new effort to
consolidate bus stops.
Schedules for nearly 45 bus routes will be adjusted starting that day. Port
Authority regularly adjusts schedules four times a year.
Included in the June schedule adjustments are routing and schedule tweaks to
the bus routes affected by the ongoing weight restriction on Swissvale’s Kenmawr
Bridge, as well as changes to better serve Bedford Avenue in the Hill
District.
Along with regular quarterly routing and scheduling adjustments, Port
Authority will also begin the first of several phases of bus stop consolidations
next month. Approximately 430 stops will be eliminated effective
June 16. The stops chosen for elimination are ones that see little to no
use.
Details on the service changes and links to new schedules are now
posted on our Service Changes page.
Paper schedules will be available
prior to the changes.
