Winter Weather Service Update

On Monday night and Tuesday morning, Port Authority experienced service outages as a result of very poor road and weather conditions. As of Tuesday night, all bus routes are back in service and most are using their normal routing with few exceptions:
  • 89A Garfield Commons: Buses detouring via Black and Mossfield to Penn Avenue.
The T is running and the Mon Incline is in service.

Additionally, our website was inaccessible for several hours Tuesday morning due to technical issues. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

  1. I hope that no riders in Pittsburgh got stranded because of the snow.

  2. I know you guys have Twitter, and have tried to use it, but can't follow it. Is there any possibility in the future that you would open up a Facebook page? It would be much easier to interact with you or you ould post emergencies on a FB page. I was fairly confused with Twitter when your website was down.

    Is it feasible to have the option of a Facebook page?

    We have considered a Facebook page but currently our communications staff is very lean - we want to make sure we can devote the proper amount of time/resources to Facebook before we start a page. Right now we are working to improve the website so an outage like the one that happened Tuesday is much less likely to occur, especially at a time when the website is needed most.
