Updated: Next Phase of Warrington Avenue Work Begins Monday, August 5
Auto traffic detours for this phase of work will remain the same. Traffic traveling toward Downtown Pittsburgh will use Warrington Avenue. Traffic traveling in the opposite direction will be detoured using Industry Street.
Additionally, roadway construction will impact the intersection of Warrington Avenue and Haberman Avenue around-the-clock from 6 a.m. Monday until the evening of Friday, August 9. During this time, Warrington Avenue will be reduced to one lane at this intersection, with flaggers controlling traffic.
Port Authority’s bus detours will change with this new phase of work. A long-term detour for the 43 Bailey, 44 Knoxville, 48 Arlington and 54 North Side-Oakland-South Side routes will go into effect starting Monday at 8 a.m. and continue around-the-clock until the afternoon of Friday, September 13. View information on this detour.
In addition to the long-term bus detour, an additional detour will be in place from 6 a.m. Monday to late afternoon Friday, August 9 due to the work at the intersection of Warrington Avenue and Haberman Avenue. View information on this detour.
This phase of work is estimated to take approximately six weeks to complete. Following this phase, there will be some final rail repairs. The entire project is expected to end in mid-September.
Warrington Avenue is partially owned by Port Authority as it contains embedded light rail tracks formerly used by the Allentown line.

Warrington Avenue Rehab Resumes Monday, March 18
Detours to local auto traffic will be in place around-the-clock and signs will be posted to guide traffic. Local bus routes will also be detoured during this project.
Bus detour notices will be posted at www.portauthority.org under "Detours" once available.
